1797 House of Antiquities - number 8 Bath Street, which now houses the Thermae Bath Spa shop - built by John Palmer.
1799 Jane Austen's brother Edward drank the water in the Hot Bath Pump Room.
1831 Tepid Swimming Bath completed and Hot Bath extended. The whole complex was called The Royal Baths.
1835 William Pinch sank a well beneath his brewery in Kingsmead Square. It caused a serious reduction in the flow of the King's Spring, and the brewery was closed down by the Corporation.
1870 New Royal Baths, treatment centre and Ladies' swimming pool, opened in Bath Street (opposite where the Little Theatre now stands).
