Tepid Swimming Bath completed and Hot Bath extended. The whole complex was called The Royal Baths. |

William Pinch sank a well beneath his brewery in Kingsmead Square. It caused a serious reduction in the flow of the King's Spring, and the brewery was closed down by the Corporation. |
