1090 John de Villula began to build a new cathedral, including two new baths within its precincts.
c. 1106 The first King's Bath was built within the grounds of the monastery. The first Cross Bath and Hot Bath were also built in this period.
1174 St John's Hospital founded 'for the sustenance of pilgrims, poor people, nuns and monks'.
1539 With the dissolution of Bath's monastery, ownership of the baths and hospitals passed to the Corporation of Bath.
