Michael Stockley

Michael Stockley was born in Combe Down in 1936. He first swam in the Cross Bath in 1944. Here he recalls seeing players from Bath Rugby Club having their post-match wash in the Cross Bath in the 1950s, and also has an explanation for the circular holes in the wall of the Hot Bath.

Tony Moore

Tony Moore was the last superintendent of the Spa, working there from 1959 to 1975. He recalls the Physical Treatment Centre in Bath Street, and the 'mud-man' who prepared the Fuller's Earth for treatments.
