Spa Sessions: Cross Bath
An intimate open-air thermal bath with its own changing facilities, the Cross Bath is a separate building and provides an alternative to the more extensive spa facilities in the New Royal Bath.

1½ hour spa session - £16
1½ hour exclusive hire - £160 (for up to 12 guests)
Where the Cross Bath now stands, the Celts revered their goddess Sul, in whose honour the Romans named their spa town, Aquae Sulis. The Cross Spring is now recognised as an official sacred site.
As you relax in the oval Cross Bath, you can watch the natural thermal waters cascade from a specially commissioned poolside fountain.
The Cross Bath can be enjoyed by individuals or as a unique venue for a small party, whereby it is available for the exclusive use of a group of up to 12 people. Our catering team can provide canapés, soft drinks and Champagne receptions (subject to availability). Please see our 'Special Events' section for more details.
Choose from either a spa session in the New Royal Bath or the Cross Bath. There is no multi-entry ticket. If you only have a short period of time, the Cross Bath provides an opportunity to experience Bath's natural thermal waters in a very special setting.
We do not take bookings for spa sessions in advance unless you are a group of 6 or more. Children under 12 are not permitted in the Cross Bath. Young people between 12 - 16 must be accompanied by an adult / guardian on a 1:1 ratio.
As the Cross Bath is a historic, stand alone building separate from the main spa, it does not have the facilities to offer spa treatments.
Towels, Robes & Slippers
Towels, robes and slippers are not included in the cost of a spa session for either the New Royal Bath or the Cross Bath. You are welcome to bring your own or hire them from the main reception.
