About the Spa Visitor Centre

The Spa Visitor Centre is an information centre where all members of the public can enter free of charge to discover how the Spa has changed and been revived through the ages through the combination of a timeline, text, picture and artifacts.

We also have state-of-the-art touch screens providing a more in-depth look at the context of the Spa in the city of Bath, how the Spa changed through the ages and facts on our famous water. We are also fortunate to have some original, historical artefacts from the Roman Bath Museum; the remains of the 18th century Melfort cross from the Cross Bath and an original plug from the Hot Bath.

A 30-minute audio tour (£2.00) provides a fascinating description of the spa quarter and the evolution of the buildings surrounding the hot springs. It is available in English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish & Dutch.
