Spa Sessions: Cross Bath

An intimate open-air thermal bath with its own changing facilities, the Cross Bath is a separate building and provides an alternative to the more extensive spa facilities in the New Royal Bath.

Where the Cross Bath now stands, the Celts revered their goddess Sul, in whose honour the Romans named their spa town, Aquae Sulis. The Cross Spring is now recognised as an official sacred site.

As you relax in the oval Cross Bath, you can watch the natural thermal waters cascade from a specially commissioned poolside fountain.

If you only have a short period of time, the Cross Bath provides an opportunity to experience Bath's natural thermal waters in a very special setting.

1½ hour spa session - £13.00 per person Please check for discounts for local residents, children, groups and disabled users.

Spa Tips
Choose from a spa session in either the New Royal Bath or the Cross Bath. There is no multi-entry ticket.
Unless you are a group of 6+, it is not possible to book the Cross Bath in advance.
Children between 12 - 16 are welcome in the Cross Bath but must be accompanied by an adult on a 1:1 basis.
Towel, robe and slippers are not included in the cost of a spa session.

Please ask us about hiring the Cross Bath for a private function based on exclusive use for a 1 ½ hour spa session at 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00 or 18.00.
Canapés, cold finger buffets, cakes and drinks can also be provided by our catering team.
